phil >> there is no dollar amount on the damage but the fire department said the building is not destroyed but still severely burned. the mayor watched on as a fire investigator was pulled in to examine the area. the fire department says the

fire is suspicious because when it started, no one was in the building however investigators will not say if an accelerant was found. the fire department says police are now conducting a criminal investigation into this forcibly being a case of arson. the cause of fire has not been released. the mayor was also reportedly the victim of another crime in may with his motorcycle stolen from city hall. for the fired a carton and police departments say they will be reviewing some surveillance video that may have caught a possible act if there was an act from across the street. the atf and fbi could be here as early as tomorrow or monday.

>> in vallejo, the mayor's office was burned down overnight, most of the day was spent cleaning up. the cleanup crew got here around 2:30 a.m. and worked tirelessly for 14 hours salvaging anything they could. the mayor's office had major damage. what ever did not have fire damage have water and smoke damage. coming up at 11:00 p.m. we will speak to the head of the cleanup crew and find out what will become of the contents of the office. >>vicki: family and friends of the 18 year-old killed by local police to to the streets today demanding justice.
